International Women's Day - What better day than on my birthday!
In a world of mortals, we are women.
We are strong, we love deeply, and we fight even stronger.
Thank you to all the wonderful men who support, love, and encourage us. It means a lot to me.
It's an honour to have been born a woman. I love my sense of compassion, and the fact that I can cry and stand up tall and fight for others and myself.
The most beautiful and greatest of all my accomplishments and superpowers has been as a mother. I am grateful to have been able to carry life inside of me and then give birth to two amazing men!
Today, is also my birthday. I never take my birthday off work. I'm going in, representing all women who stop for nothing and carry on.
My sons took me out to a nice dinner last night. They even tipped the waitress generously. I'm proud of them.
This morning both of my sons surprised me with cards, candies, and a stuffed rabbit that smells like chocolate! Whaaat?! So sweet of them! I was showered with love: Hugs and 'I love yous'.
On Sunday, my sons are taking me to the movie theatre to watch Captain Marvel. Yesss!
I'm pretty simple. I don't like fancy gifts. Maybe fine chocolates and fruit gifts and a bouquet of Casablanca Lilies or Crimson Clovers.
Other than that, nothing beats private quality time with those I love (my sons, puppies, and if Mi Amor was here). Peace and quiet at the end of the day.❤
This reminded me of a piece I heard this morning that gave me goosebumps. Happy, birthday. Listen to the report first.

Congratulations upon having completed another orbit of a seething cauldron of fusing hydrogen and having emerged essentially unscathed. In 'tother words, Happy Birthday.
Beautiful post! Your compassion, strength and loving heart shine through.
Happy birthday! You are a shining STAR. Remember you are loved.
It makes me sad that governments and religion are degenerating women worldwide. My mom was a dirt poor child, then raised 5 kids on her own, became an engineer with IBM got her degree and before her death, she held 5 patents through IBM and designed special tools for the shuttle program. Yes, she was a VERY strong woman.
To rephrase a Steven Weinberg saying;
There are good women and there are bad women. Good women will do good things and bad women will do bad things but for good women to do bad things it takes religion.
Happy birthday to you and happy international woman's day to all good women everywhere.
