The greater the influences, particularly conflicting ones, of Patriarchy and theological fanaticism, the worse are chances for peace of any kind. The Middle East is awash with fanaticism. So-called First World Nations bet on them like spectators of dog or cock fights.

I truly hope so. I believe it's likely - but not soon. There are too many demagogues in power right now.

Agreed. As is almost invariably the case, the majority of people just want to get on with their daily lives and go home safely afterwards. The governments, monarchs and leaders are usually the problem.
