I have never had cable (Pay TV). I also have an antenna and a Roku box with a Netflix subscription. That's enough TV for me.
I have never paid for cable tv. WIth five antennas in the attic, I feed all television, mythTV tuners, and stand alone tuners (for projectors, CRT televisions and computer monitors). In this part of the world we only get 20 digital stations. 4 are PPTV.
Hook up your tv to your computer and watch more stuff. You can get Fox news, Cnn (haaaahaha) , etc.. I do enjoy American Pickers on the History chan. Now that would be a cool job..
While attending an annual family reunion, I needed a break from the relatives. Went to our bedroom and turned on the cable tv. Switched to History or Discovery or some other "educational" channel.
Ice Road Truckers! I was hooked. Wasted several evenings binge watching that. Better than talking with my wife's brothers though.... "Ice Road Truckers!!!" I wonder who the heck comes up with those shows.
@bigpawbullets Haha... yeah, you did WASTE several evenings if you watched that... I admit, I liked it too when I first saw it, and watched it several evenings for hours... Then I found out how scripted it was... They literally made shit up to happen just for tv ratings.. The hell with that.. Now I'm finding out American Pickers is practically doing the same thing.. I'm so losing trust in these shows.. I'd almost rather sit on the back deck and watch the dogs chase squirrels..
@Captain_Feelgood
I've an aquainteance that swears by those types of shows. Anyway, I'm with you. Much more entertaining to sit on the deck and watch the habitat garden.
