I have discovered a niche profession and looking with a cursory glance on the internet I have found no one listed, aside from historical references. Sin Eater. Why not? Learn a few Latin phrases, don't eat before my meal (albeit, I am not going to take my meat off the dead person's body, except in containers - there I go, I will supply my own food as well).

There was a great black and white movie about sin eaters. Maybe it was an episode of the Twilight Zone....but it haunts my memories of childhood horror stories....
I remember a son had to do it because his father, the sin eater, died. He didn’t want to do it...but the family needed the money from doing it. Sin eaters were cursed and damned to hell from all the sins they took on.

That is the mythos. And I have seen the show, with the starving sin getting to pig out. In olden days, the sin eater ate and took home much of the food for his family. Only if you believer such stuff should the job be scary. However, on more thought, anyone willing to hire said person would have to be a real wack case. One could meet some real dangerous types.
