I don't like GMOs that enable plants to accept more pesticides because they poison our habitat with chemicals that affect and can harm all creatures on earth. Washing fruit and veggies does not affect some chemicals because they are inside the plant.

Your best bet is to try to buy organic produce but some of these chemicals, such as glyphosate, get inside the plant and now present in all aspects of our environment including organic foods. Beer, wine and even honey show trace amounts of glyphosate,
