I can't believe my luck finding a group of folks who like old movies as I do, love the History behind them, info on the actors, directors, etc, even the writers. I've watched a lot of foreign films as well enjoy the subtitles keeps my attention. Is it me but resemblence between Peter O'tool and Julie Christy is striking what do you think?

I like old movies. People ask if I have seen this one or than one. I tell them I've seen the film but maybe not the version you are talking about. Today nothing is new. They just re-make old movies.

And they’re never as good!

The movies of today most are remakes and not nearly as good, I have to agree the actors leave much to be desired. Give me Bogart, Lancaster, Cooper, Brando, Ford, Marvin,Cagney, Doris day, O'hara, on and on. In Music Its Johnny Mercer. That was when it was the best.. There were so many great ones. I love that old stuff and I feel sorry for people of today who I think missed the boat, they have no clue of what they missed.

Mmmh? Not sure I really can see a resemblance between the two.

I was a peter O'tool fan for a long time and when he did Lawrence of Arabia I happened by chance caught Julie Christy in a movie right after LOA by chance so he was fresh on my mind But now I know why they looked a like. My favorite Peter O'tool Movie is "Night of the Generals with another of my favorites Omar Shariff, the only Egyptian actor to be an International star.
