MY Family off Believers I am a widower living alone with a married daughter & SIL, three adult grandchildren, five great grand children all living within 15 minutes of where I live. They all attend the same church, in fact, my daughter is a full time employee of the church. They all seem to be OK with the fact that grandpa doesn't and never has attended church. They never bring up the subject of religion or querey me about it, which I appreciate. I am very proud of all of them. They all have happy and successful lives with no major problems.Despite my non belief I would have to say that religion is the glue that binds them all together and that is ffine with me.
And, I am sure, they are also bound to you, not through religion but through familial love and happy memories together.
You might also have bonds with other people who think like you do at the local Humanist community, Atheist community or possibly a Unitarian Universalist church.
As long as they respect you enough to leave you alone, and have happy, successful lives, no reason to fix what isn't broken.
