Lobster fishing may be hampered by lack of bait.
Something has decreased the herring population. Overfishing and climate change, maybe? The ripple effects begin...
In the 1980's I frequently visited the small fishing village of Ullapool in NW Scotland. Adjacent Loch Broom had several Soviet factory ships or Klondykers which processed herring brought in by a fleet of trawlers.
A year or so later the factory ships were still there but now they were processing mackerel. The herring had been fished out. The Klondykers are long since gone and so are most of the Mackerel.

Scottish fishermen are getting excited about leaving the EU as they think they will have a free for all in the North Sea fishing grounds.
The EU common fisheries policy has properly manged the fisheries for years but that will come to an end after Brexit
