Is anyone else bored to death with the entire atheist theist debate? I've been hearing it since I was six years old. There's no new arguments from theist and I suspect that's been true for hundreds of years. As for the latest atheist movement, I don't think it was a movement so much as everyone just kind of waking up and saying, why are we still doing this? Sort of a social awakening event, and now it only lives on in videos on Youtube, you know, for the stragglers.
I think it serves the purpose in helping each other understand other people better. So I think its useful to a point at least.
most folks are not woke.
i never had that debate in my early life. i've been an atheist since age 15 (yeah, i know, a late bloomer) but it was never a topic for debate; no one was interested. i wasn't in a religious family and didn't hang out in a religious community. i had been taking shit for being jewish since, well, birth i guess, and that shit continued throughout most of my life (which isn't quite over yet). so bored? not especially. fascinated? not especially. i'm not worried about it. let people believe what they believe, as long as they leave me the hell alone and honor the separation of church and state. unfortunately, neither is happening.
