Today marks one year without cigs
Congratulations, I don't smoke, feel it is important to support people who struggle with tobacco.
Congratulaions! I've been cigarette free for 5 years. Best decision I ever made. Keep at it!
Wonderful news! Singularly one the best thing you could do for yourself and others.
Bravo! Stopping smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health.
I applaud your determination and resolve.
That is an impressive achievement. Congratulations!
I was a 2.5 pack/day smoker and I had my last cigarette on May 9, 1977 because I did not want to smoke through my pregnancy. My healthy son was born September 6 1978. It took a year or two for the urge to go away, but I'm so over it.
When I was a teenager they had "doctors" on TV telling us it was good for us... and celebrities endorsing it. Every TV program showed people smoking. But now, with the evidence right in front of their eyes, I can't for the life of me understand why anybody still smokes.
I so clearly remember a story about a coworker who was sitting on the steps of the hospital smoking while waiting for a ride home after his lung cancer surgery.
My first week without them, and my sense of smell returned. By my second week, I found I couldn't stand second-hand smoke. It's been five years now, and I can't even imagine myself smoking again. Keep up the good work!
I'm the same way. People who smoke don't realize how they reek of it. I can't get into a car with a smoker. Makes me nauseated. You know what they say... the worst person for a smoker to be around is a former smoker.
