I'm gonna vent about my coworker again. Sorry
She's very.....self involved and doesn't grasp empathy I don't think.
She does a whole bunch of little irritating things which on their own wouldn't be a big deal but combined and every day just grate on my nerves.
every day she works she adjusts the office chair. That's fine make yourself comfortable. But she doesn't put it back the way it was. Ever. She just leaves it 6 inches lower with one arm rest down all the way and for someone like me with balance and back problems that is always fun to FALL into the chair. Yes I put it back, but she's the only one who lowers it so it seems like common courtesy to put it back the way you find it.
she complains about the jar of mayo in the fridge being there for two days, how dare it still be there! Take it home!!!! But yet she leaves a giant bottle of salad dressing in there for months at a time.
she complains to our DIRECTOR of my mild cigarette smell even though I febreeze myself A LOT before I come in and she is only with me in the office for 2 minutes for shift change before leaving. But yet she stinks up the office with onions and peppers which the smell stays in the office for HOURS long after she leaves. And when I ask her to either febreeze the office or air it out before I come in it's "well I'm not changing my diet just because you're sensitive" well I'm not quitting smoking just because you're a little bitch.
she moves everything in the office around and doesn't put it back. The logs and sheets are all in different places and the trash can is on the other side of the room and I have to put everything back where it goes when she leaves. She adjusts everything on the computer to suit her but leaves it there instead of putting it back the way it's supposed to be and she doesn't consistently fill out her logs properly. We are supposed to fill them out in caps lock and she will have 30 entries in lowercase which I have to fix, plus she can't spell so I have to go in and fix that too.
almost daily she texts me "Haha it's been crazy so if you wanna come in a little early that would be awesome haha" no. No one ever wants to come in early. No one ever comes in early when I'm working so I totally am done being nice about that.
I've lost count) she constantly finds things to nitpick about what I've done and yet any time I mention correcting ANY of these mild inconveniences she acts like I am such a terrible person
Whatever number) I remind her every shift that you are supposed to take the trash out before the next shift comes in. She has yet to do that.
Blah) she is perpetually always cold so when she works she turns the heat to 78 degrees. I mean she could try wearing something other than summer dresses but whatever just turn the temp to a reasonable one before I come in. Easy enough right? Well after making a large enough fuss about that one to our supervisor she actually does turn the thermostat down before I come in
To 60 degrees. Like some petty fucking child.
Ugh. I'm so tired of her.
These types of problems. Definitely mirror my workplace I call it Adult kindergarten . It's a haven for junior high school attitudes. Of people that in some cases are well past 60 years old
I've noticed that many many people never mature past 13
In a really bizarre turn she just texted me and said she'd be fine to stay a little later if I needed her to lmao that's new
Sounds like a narcissist, for sure. It does not occur to her to see that SHE needs to be considerate, because the only one who matters, and who knows what’s ‘right’, is HER. They never apologize because they are never wrong ?. Petty revenge when forced to change is common, in my experience. Watch your back, in case she’s the kind that keeps on with revenge.
