Why Holocaust Denial is Bad
.
I think that the Holocaust did happen. However, I do think that there was some embellishment, for example the claim that 6 million people were killed. If the claim had been 5,985,254 I might consider that possibly valid, but 6,000,000 even? Highly unlikely. However, my goal is not to addresses any of the weaknesses of the story brought on by some embellishment. To the contrary . . .
Now that you have got this far, you probably expect some proof. Nope . . . not my goal, as I said, I think it happened, but even if in your own mind, you think it did not happen, you should consider this . . . . one of the biggest, baddest, blugeons we have available to pound Israel and the Zionists with . . . . IS the Holocaust, the very thing that they claim should never be forgotten. I would agree, we should never forget it, because it is almost to the letter what the Zionists are now doing to the Palestinians.
.
I once read a book written by a victim of the Holocaust, one of the main conclusions the author came to was that what brought on the holocaust was the dehumanization of the Jews . . . considering them to be animals, placing no value whatsoever on the lives of the people of Jewish descent, allowing them to slaughter huge numbers of Jews with no pangs of conscience.
.
It is amazing how much Israel has become like its own bogieman, (the Nazis) who were all about acquiring "lebensraum", (the territory that a state or nation believes is needed for its natural development, especially associated with Nazi Germany.) and that is what Israel is all about. They do not want to build up, they want to build out, and do so at every opportunity they can get. Pretty soon they will be tearing down their own walls so they can move them out more. "Never forget" . . . . they always say . . . . they will pursue the people they were themselves oppressed by, nearly beyond the grave, but what exactly did they do when Darfur was happening, or any genocide in Africa or Serbia for that matter? This is not a country that is taking the high road, and, I do not get any sense that the leaders in Israel have any desire, or intent to reach any form of peace in this region. That goes hand in hand with their ambition for more lebensraum. Without continued conflict, it would be impossible for them get more settlements and "lebensraum".
They constantly steal land at every opportunity, all the while playing the victim and pretending to want peace. But it is the Holocaust that stands in comparison to what they are now doing to Palestinians. . . . and we should be saying back to them . . . . "Never forget . . . . and never forget what you are doing NOW to the Palestinians!"
You find the figure of "6 million Jews" suspicious? I'd be a whole lot more suspicious to discover that the Nazis kept precise lists of everyone they killed and opened them up to the authorities when the war ended. Move away from the number and focus on the horror of focus on extermination of a whole group so others can feel good about themselves. I'd lead with THAT and not an argument about the specific number if you really want to get your point across.
Most of history is distortion, bias, and inaccurate, mostly because it is viewed and interpreted by one culture or the winning side in a war. If my statement that I accept the fact that the holocaust occurred is not strong enough for certain readers and their predilection for finding fault or expecting perfection from events in the past, that is not my problem . . . . As for the "whole group", that "whole group" included a lot of different cultures and backgrounds, not just Jewish people.
Any and all who base their policies on a "race", ethnicity, or religion being dominant over another is bound to go down a similar road. Don't delude yourself into imagining that the Israelis would suffer any different fate if the Palestinians had military supremacy in the region. There would be no Israel in that case. In the words of Hitchens, "Religion poisons everything."
