Of the events that happened back before World War II, even World War I, there was likely just as much lies by the press as today, and, the victor always writes the history. If you look at the lying rats in our press today, you can clearly see just how easy they find it to destroy the truth. A lot of shit has been covered up. Churchill was responsible for the same kind of shit Hitler was responsible for, and not just in one country. One of the main things you have to remember is that, when war happens, the citizens of EACH SIDE HAVE A COMPLETE CONVICTION THAT THEY HAVE THE MORAL HIGH GROUND. For that to happen, there has to be a lot of things that support that belief from their point of view. This is similar to the USA believing it is "fighting terrorism" when it is in fact creating terrorists. Each side has a very deep belief that they hold the moral high ground, when in fact neither side does. A huge amount of this requires open-minded-perspective, to actually understand how this can happen. The German soldier was just as convinced that he had the moral high ground as the British solder. The evil is perpetuated on both sides, by arrogance, intercultural ignorance, linguistic ignorance, and lies. If you read German history, the stage was set for Hitler by the powers who forced a crushing indemnity upon Germany. If you look at the deeds of Hitler, or Churchill, in the end, there really was not much difference between the two . . . . the actions of both resulted in the deaths of millions. It gets much harder to condemn one side or the other when both sides were just as fucked up. The real cause of the wars were arrogance, intercultural ignorance, linguistic ignorance, fame-chasing, back-stabbing, monolithic leadership structures, ideology-chasing, moronic assholes who could care less about others of their kind, who in fact dehumanized those they opposed and even dehumanized their own citizens, by sending them to fight in their stead.

You should read "Uncle Eric's Books" on history.

Lots of interesting stuff you won't find in the history books.
