When I was small, growing up on a Haiti mission in the 1950s and 60s, we children sometimes played board games such as Chutes and Ladders, checkers, caroms, etc., but mostly on family vacations because we played outside most of the time.
When several more missionary families moved to our mission, we began to play more board games, but eventually I noticed that whenever I threw dice, they would come up the exact numbers I needed to win whatever game I was playing.
Even the Chutes and Ladders game somehow made me win. Of course, this annoyed the other kids and soon they told me I wasn't allowed to play with them anymore, muttering something that sounded like “witch” under their breath.
I tried to lose, but it made no difference. By the way, my kids are the same way..like with me, I noticed that no matter who cut the cards, they got a royal flush, and like me, my daughter can (mentally) ask racehorses at the track who will win.
Outdoor games were similar. I didn’t have to know the game, or to practice..if I thought about where I wanted the ball to go, that’s where it went.
I would imagine that everything was slowing down and then I could easily see which spin was on the ball and somehow knew how to unwind it.
In the US, I pictured basketball hoops as enormous, and my ball would go in.
Strangely, I wasn’t interested in competitive sports-probably because there weren't any for MK's (missionary kids) at our Haiti mission. At recess we'd play jump rope games, Kick the Can, “Lago-Lago (Haitian tag)," and I'd play informal soccer games with friends, so everything was normal.
When I rode my horses, however, they did whatever I thought-no saddle, bridle, or signals needed, even when I was driving a horse cart.
I later found that if someone asked me anything, I'd often suddenly “know” the answer.
For instance, friends would ask how long until a certain camion arrived from Port-au-Prince and I’d “see” it in my imagination traveling on the road and suddenly know the time of arrival.
If someone asked what time it was, I’d imagine the nearest clock and read it, even though I didn’t wear a watch. Every time I put on a watch on, it would stop, so I gave up wearing them.
I wasn’t sure how this fit church doctrine, but friends accepted my abilities as a matter of course. Since the New Testament talked about Jesus doing supernatural things, I supposed it was OK.
I had to block my mind against the thoughts of others, because they were annoying me. My sister complained about the same thing, but I realized our experience wasn't considered normal for white people, although many of our Haitian friends were the same way.
Years later, when I taught ESL in Thailand, I found that often my Thai students and friends could also read minds, perhaps from practicing the meditation associated with Buddhism.
When I was in college, I also began seeing the future, about five minutes ahead of time, as though the timeline had slipped out of sync a little. It was confusing me, so I finally told it to stop, and it did.
Quantum physics demonstrates that nothing happens that isn't imagined first. Not only can Schrodinger's cat be both dead and alive, but now physicists are acknowledging "Schrodinger's kittens"..a thought experiment showing that each observer creates his or her own reality as to whether or not the cat is dead.
As Einstein says, all matter is a form of energy and can neither be created nor destroyed, and quantum physics already tells us different dimensions exist.
"For physicists, the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." -Einstein
“New physics acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a mental construction."
Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: “The universe looks more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind is no longer considered an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, but the creator and governor of the realm of matter."

Great photo! I've had similar interactions and experiences. I seem out of sinc lately but to worry on it does not help . Lots of good comments.
He just retired this year but Ichiro (Japanese baseball player) once said in an interview he hits the ball before even swings the bat. I know what he means by that.
I had a friend who LOVED to gamble so in order to enjoy the game and betting is a part of it, everything he won went to charity. I enjoy your posts.
If I had your psychic ability I would use it to track down the one or few people in my area that were compatible for me to date and mentally influence them to want to meet me. By that logic you should already have found your match(es).
Hmm..these things happen without my intention. Several times I've idly thought of a man with a detailed description, and he appeared within a few days, but I just called up men to please my parents. I get proposals constantly, but feel claustrophobic whenever things even seem partly serious and then wish he'd go away and he does. We all get exactly what we imagine..it's just that most people rationalize it and try to place blame.
People are single for a reason...
@birdingnut I think we are very different from each other that way, you and I. I will leave it at that and respectfully disagree with you.
@TomMcGiverin No problem..bye!
I don't know, but that's one awesome picture. What a childhood you had!
Your understanding of quantum dynamics leans hard on the psedo-scientific side. The point of the Schrodinger cat experiment is to demonstrate the perplexity of quantum mechanics, like the Heisenberg uncertainty principle which states that the more you know about a particles position the less you know about it's velocity, and in fact it means nothing to know these things at the same time, Just like how you can't know the reason for life the universe and everything else and also know the question. You can't know these things at the same time.
The cat being in a superposition of both dead and alive is a consequence under the Copenhegen interpretation of quantum dynamics, which I personaly have little faith in. Other interpretations say things like the cat is entangled with the observer when the box is opened, or the universe splits in two the moment the cat dies, amongst other things that are hard to comprehend.
If you have yet to find something in the universe that you didn't imagine first then clearly you aren't looking hard enough. There are so many weird and unexpected things to discover, quantum dynamics is a mine field of these types of things. Most quantum principals have no analogy in the world we understand.
These things are not to be confused with the law of attraction, which allows things you desire to manifest in reality under the right conditions. It does not however, allow you to break physics. For example in order to see the future you would need to reduce entropy retroactively. In order to change the future you need only make a choice in the here and now.
If you don't believe in it, then of course it won't happen for you, although all humans, plants, and animals are connected and can read each others' minds, unconsciously at least. But if you want to troll me, I'll just block you. Other countries take such things for granted..many in the US reject energy experiences because of entrenched Western thought that mocks anything that can't be felt physically, LOL!
@birdingnut I'm not trolling at all, just trying to point out that that you are confusing quantum dynamics with the law of attraction. Consider the double slit experiment, the source of the idea that observation creates reality. I'll sum it up here for other who don't know:
An electron is shot at two slits and an interfernce pattern emerges, indicating that electrons are waves. However, place a detector to observe which hole the electron goes through and two lines appear, indicating that electrons are point like.
So the psedo-scientific explanation is that electrons are only point like when being observed meaning we create that reality by seeing it.
The Heisenburg uncertainty principal brings this into question, because we know that by observing the particle traveling through the slits means you know its' position, indicating that this changes the results of the experiment, thus collapsing the wave function.
This is a hard concept for most people to grasp, but I hope what I am trying to say makes sense now. If you still think I'm trolling watch this video
@Happy_Killbot I haven't even told the half of it..just dumbed this post down for the American agnostics-no mention of remembering past lives, or teleportation. Go on back to sleep..believe whatever you wish..I don't care.
@birdingnut If conscience affected reality in the way you believe the world would be a much more dangerous place. Think about the profound benefits to people if someone could as you claim to
-modify probability - you could turn a lump of rock into an atomic bomb by increasing decay probability
-communicate to people or animals via telepathy - no explanation needed
-exemplary athleticism - this one sort of exists, some people just have the knack for it
-determine future events - this could save lives by averting disaster
-reduce entropy - This opens up the possibility for infinite energy
-teleport - who needs fossil fuel burning cars?
If these things were already possible someone would have discovered them, quantified them, and most likely used them for personal gain. We did not get to where we are by distorting science to meet our beliefs.
You can believe whatever you want but don't misrepresent science!
The woman who taught me meditation would always say, "your thoughts create your reality". I've come to understand what she meant. Fascinating story.
I can relate to what you are saying. I have a different experience to you. I have vivid dreams of people that I know and what they have done. When I enquire about it is always accurate. I don’t like it, it is very unsettling to me sometimes.
Everyone can do that, it's just that "rational" Western teaching mocks this ability, although in many other countries, people take it for granted.
Animals, and studies show that even plants can read our minds and energy.
Sorry, but I find all that very hard to believe, or are you just having a joke ?
Of course not. One has to read up on quantum physics..nothing happens that isn't imagined first. Not only is there a Schrodinger's cat idea, where a cat can be both dead and alive, but now they are acknowledging Schrodinger's kittens..each observer creates his or her own reality as to whether or not the cat is dead.
As Einstein says, all matter is a form of energy, so since energy can neither be created nor destroyed, we have always existed and will always exist in some energy form and quantum physics already tells us different dimensions exist.
"For physicists, the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." -Einstein

@birdingnut "nothing happens that isn't imagined first" Well you certainly have a vivid imagination if nothing else.
