Part of me suspects there is an undertone of competition between "cropped" and "flopped" men. I've never met nor been with a man who was mad that he was 'trimmed'.
And for it to be the equivalent of female mutilation think the entire glans would have to be cut off. Then the outrage would be justified.

This topic is SJW BS. Spillover from granola-think PETA crap where everything is "abuse", as if there aren't BIGGER things to be mad about in the world. smh

Agree .

This abuse is bullshit .I was circumcised as an infant and gratfull that i was .

Definitely abuse when there is not a valid medical reason .

Abuse. If an adult male wants to be circumcised, go for it. But a person should get to choose that, not be mutilated at birth.

@Hugh Because they were infants and don't remember the trauma doesn't mean that they weren't harmed. And yes, they were mutilated, a part of their body was cut off. The foreskin has loads of nerve endings that provide pleasure and sensation during sex. Of course if you haven't had it and don't remember the trauma of having it cut off, you wouldn't feel slighted I suppose but then again, you don't know what it's like to have an intact penis either.

@Hugh There are millions of people that believe in God . That doesn't make them right .

No doubt its a very nasty shock for the child. We did our first and agreed never again

Abuse unless theer is a REAL medical reason for it, no different to whether female circumcision is abuse.

@Hugh removing the clitoral hood is not vastly different, but the reality is the same, mutilating a person, mostly without their consent, something that can't be reversed. Why would one do it, and I see no difference male or female, only that our society has been accepting of male circumcision in the past. Other cultures probably advocate the opposite.

It is not abuse if there is a valid reason to undertake the operation. It is abuse if it is undertaken for religeous reasons....... Female circumcision is the greatest act of sheer brutality undertaken for purposes of depriving the victim of natural responses. Christ knows why ??? It is undertaken using a razor blade, without anesthetic, hacking off the entire clitoral gland, usually undertaken by the grandmother. This is still practiced by immigrant savages in the United kingdom.

It is , of course , an illegal practise , even here in the savage U.K.

@I was referring to the practice carried out by immigrant savages, Not the savage UK.

@Hugh Same subject, kind of interesting in a horrifying sort of way, fair enough ??

Its not abuse if you need it like I did.

Neither. It isn't abuse any more than piercing a child's ears. I don't know if you can say it is a valid procedure or not but it must be close to it however. It keeps the area cleaner. Any parent knows that is a good thing. Let alone the pain of hearing your child being in pain from a urinary tract infection. Regardless of the reasons it is useful and is no more barbaric to do to an infant than many other accepted realities.

It does not keep the area cleaner . Soap, water and education sorts that chestnut .

Well I tried to raise a stern objection to the procedure. I mean, I cried and kicked. What else wa a baby to do? I woke up a day later and it was gone!! Then someone shoved a boobie in my mouth and I forgot about all the pain. The shame lives on forever or until I find another boobie.

LOL

It's not necesarry in most cases. Plus, nothing is used to kill the pain. That's abuse to me.

I don’t think there is any justification for calling it a “medical procedure.” Cosmetic maybe, but there is no recognized medical purpose. My son was circumcised because his father wanted it and I didn’t know the difference. I think I would do it differently today.

I think it should be done only after the age of consent and not to a helpless baby who has no say in the matter.

Thank you for not being an ignorant barbarian.

Not Again... gianni do a little search... ALREADY DISCUSSED TO THE LAST OUNCE OF FLESH AND BLOOD. And if you research the item here you will find that more women posted than men and they were the more angry posters! Example: of first 4 posters here... 3 were females!!!! So I will Ignore your question on the basis of ALREADY DISCUSSED.

I was here the last time and I don't mind discussing it again.

If people would use hashtags #Circumcision and then look them up before posting these sorts of repetitions would be unneccesary.

@RavenCT Of course not... females do enjoy discussing the mutilation... it is called "Lorena Bobbitt syndrome". I kinda like the work on mine myself. Since I finished the job on my own with my grandpa's GEM Blade... cut by cut. Like I said... EVERY OUNCE OF FLESH AND BLOOD ALREADY DISCUSSED. Old News.

@GipsyOfNewSpain Good call.

Not needed except in rare cases.

Also circumcision is no longer the "Norm".

Doing any knife work without anesthetic is abuse IMHO.
