What is the value of beauty, if there is no one evaluate this beauty, the Woman put makeup in order to show their beauty to someone else ... at least for herself, I do not think there is another object evaluate the beauty, except than man (human),
I may accept that everything in this world happens by chance, except the beauty, But i cannot believe that the coincidence create beauty specifically to (((( a man stand dazzled by its design, color and smell
Imagine the existence of beauty in this world without a man,
The Mona Lisa picture is not valuable without Leonardo da Vinci, and also, it is not valuable without Minds knows it value ....

"Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder" Plato wrote.

Here's my half-Spanish daughter Claire, 6-1/2. She was sick of taking photos. For Halloween, Claire wanted to be a gypsy dancer. I sewed her costumes.

@ToolGuy

Thank you. I love that photo I took of Claire. Sadly, she missed trick-or-treating because she had the flu.

Notice her hands grasping my garnet bead necklace? She broke it! Her dad found the beads and had it restrung.

I swear those butterflies were drunk on nectar. Usually butterflies flutter away when I get close. Here's another drunken butterfly.

I am hoping in your penultimate paragraph you didn’t intend the indefinite article!

The "value" of beauty you describe is an artificial, abstract, subjective concept created by Man. In reality, no one thing is more beautiful than another. A wren is really no less beautiful than a peacock. A rainbow is a rainbow, whether we see it or not. We have been taught to discriminate and qualify when it comes to beauty, based entirely on what our culture has determined to be beautiful. Our idea of beauty is no doubt totally different than an aborigines idea of beauty, and your determinations are no doubt different than mine. The Mona Lisa may be the most valuable painting in the world, and I am totally awed by the works of da Vinci, but I do not find that painting to be particularly beautiful. Value and beauty have little to do with each other. Personally I find opals and sapphires to be much more beautiful than diamonds, but they are worth much less; and they would all exist whether I valued them or not. And yes, I can easily imagine the beauty of this world without Man; I think it would be a much more beautiful planet, even if there were no one around to make that determination. The universe is not really anthropocentric, whether we choose to believe that or not.
(On a side note, I am a bit miffed that you are possibly suggesting that people who wear makeup are more attractive than people who don't. Actually you said women, but as I am attracted to men as well as women, I threw them in as well. Makeup is another social construct that should be a personal choice, not a requirement.)

Hear hear! 👍🤓

(that people who wear makeup are more attractive than people who don't.) I didn't mean this .. I say, the Woman put makeup in order to show their beauty to someone else, I know that everything is beautiful in this universe but it is relative .. Many scientists see the color of blood is beautiful, and some criminals see it so ... the Beauty of Anything in the world is a window, allows you to look across , to see That it was placed in its proper place, for a mirror within anyone reflecting its value

My daughter did her thesis on this very issue. What is beauty and how does the media manipulate our idea of beauty? Based on her data of 25,000 people who completed her questionnaire; in a nut shell...it showed that the media has it all wrong from hair, eye and hair color, hair length, facial shape, nose, lips, and body shape to mention some of the questions.

Why beauty exists? ... For you .. me .. And others ... Regardless of the Evaluation of each person to it .. It is impossible to be so wonderful coincidence like this

I think this is like the 'if a tree falls in the forest' question.

Let alone if we can hear it....does the tree think it's the forrest falling instead??? (I know, IamAdding a bit more sarcasm into the mix.... Sorry, couldn't resist)

We may need that tree in a very cold night

Perhaps you are referring to the principle of complementarity.

‘Beauty’ is subjective, therefore irrelevant in an objective conversation. I am not aware of any empirical measure for beauty. We like what we like and don’t what we don’t. To analyse its value is to diminish the quality we call ‘beauty’

why It is put in front of us, how can we know its quality?

To be honest, men and women can appreciate beauty. What you're talking about is sexual desire and even then both men and women and other gender fluid people can be sexually aroused by women. On that same token, men can also be beautiful as well. Maybe cisgener heterosexual men may be sexually arousned by other men, but even as one, I can still appreciate a man that is aesthetically pleasing. Secondly beauty is all around us in this world that exist outside of humanity. Checking out the grand canyon, glacier national park, lake loiuse, or bryce canyon are a few examples.

I mentioned woman as an example ... You can take a look in the mirror or at everything around you to know what I mean
