Looks painful! Hope you are doing better now...
I love my heels...I have worn them since high school...I just don't wear them for long periods of time or for certain things...I mostly sit at a desk so I am not on my feet a lot...but I do like them for dancing salsa...
Ouch! hope it heals up soon... I've never worn high heels -- maybe two inches at the most on rare occasion -- and ever since I've gotten neuropathy in my feet I'm just grateful to find comfortable shoes that still look good. I have a friend though who can't go anywhere without wearing some sort of heel -- I don't know how she manages it, but I'm told that if you wear them often enough it can eventually shorten the muscle in the back of your leg and it's actually harder to stop.
I never have worn high heels because they cause foot and back injuries. Also, you can't run from danger. Reminds me of women's bound feet in China.
Sorry about your foot injury. Foot pain is awful. Have you seen a doctor?
We are sisters in foot pain. I'm dealing with a foot injury from April 24. Now the bruise has doubled in size.
On April 26, the radiologist saw a possible, partial bone fracture in the base of the fourth toe. Will see my regular doctor on May 4 for a second x-ray. Stress fractures often do not show on x-rays until two weeks later.
Toe pain sucks ass! Sorry that happened. Hope you heal quickly.
Thanks!
Sorry..I can't relate. I don't let others dictate fashion to me, and I don't wear anything with high heels besides 1/2" heel ballroom dance shoes. If I can't hike a mile in a pair of shoes, I won't wear/buy them.
Besides, high heels were invented by 10th century Persian cavalrymen to help keep their feet in the stirrups, and English noblewomen didn't start to wear high heels until the 17th century, after noblemen had been wearing them.
I didn't know about the Persian connection. Interesting.
Torn ligaments. Off to ortho tomorrow
Sorry about the torn ligaments. I suspect you would look just as fabulous in flats or nice running shoes. As a Chiropractor, I couldn't agree more with LiterateHiker above.
@Healthydoc70 yes I agree with her too. And actually rarely wear them. Not sure what I was thinking
Well... Except for the bruising... You have nice cute little toes..
Thanks! Purple swollen toes!
I'm sorry...a lot of us your friends here could've gone to your help!
