The USA has undoubtedly made thus famine worse, but food shortages have been on-going since the 1960s. The true culprit is state mismanagement.

@Petter N Korea is America's 'Frankenstein' monster, a legacy of US imperialism. Why are you so surprised the they spend so much on defence? The US has isolated them from the rest of the world. Most countries suffering from drought would be able to receive the help from other nations. Fact is you don't give a flying fuck about the people of Korea. Just aping the usual propaganda. And when you are through assessing the problems of the Korean people you care so much about you might want to wonder at the role your ancestors played oppressing black people in Africa (which so also care so much about).
