First of all, I appologize for the lack of paragraphs. I've copied and pasted this from (believe it or not) a friend's facebook page.

Folks, this is what we have up against us this coming election. I have known this person my entire life (my best friend since 2nd grade is his sister). This family has NEVER shown any type of racism, discrimination, misogyny, etc. They are evangelicals, however they have always respected my atheism. Needless to say, this breaks my heart.

And people call ME delusional. What's sad is that there are numerous comments agreeing with him.

Politics? Yeah, POLITICS!!! I seldom wade out into this vile, festering lava flow of public stink, but I'm ABSOLUTELY SICK AND TIRED OF THE VICIOUS, SCURRILOUS, AND RELENTLESS MOB VIOLENCE AGAINST PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP! Having been VERY attentive to politics for about forty years, the monotone mega-media diatribe against this man is surreal, contemptible, and absolutely absurd! Just Google "Trump" -- click the "news" tab. COUNT the number of stories FAVORABLE of one of the hardest working, effective, promise keeping, duly elected presidents in American history. GOOD LUCK FINDING EVEN ONE STORY which has ANYTHING positive to say, and which isn't poisoned with SNIDE and SNARKY SPIN and INNUENDO!!! Trump is the most aggressively scrutinized person in recent memory. And despite his blunt and prickly manner, his total disregard for pretense, and the often plain-spoken and abrasive characterizations of those who attack him, he has fared INCREDIBLY WELL. Would YOU want to face that level of intense, incessant scrutiny and suspicion??? President Trump is deemed GUILTY... guilty of something -- guilty of ANYTHING -- we just need to find it. I'll tell you where I've seen this sort of monolithic propoganda and character assassination before: It's been a common weapon in every oppressive nation since mass communication became possible. The difference? Usually this sort of inversion of things like liberty, decency, due process, and actual justice in the avalanche of publicly-disseminated hate media has occured when GOVERNMENT coordinates, scripts, and drives the assault. So what happened here, where the supposed GUARDIANS of liberty and justice -- a relatively unencumbered MEDIA -- have betrayed our trust, abandoned objectivity, proportionality, actual NEWS and truth??? You can't even put this down to a mere "conspiracy of shared values" because values -- in reality -- have nothing to do with it. It is the "conspiracy" of a shared agenda: to destroy Trump and all he stands for. The "darlings" who are consistently praised by "american" media CONTINUE to find hero status despite their words and actions, scandalous and criminal. But Trump? They simply hate him, and hope with blinding fervor that there is SOMETHING -- ANYTHING -- that can be found against him: something prosecutable,something impeachable, that can be construed to hold up against Donald Trump. They are free to lie openly, to embarass themselves, and to inflict their bizarre rage and hatred in effort to harm and destroy this one man. But this I know: Those who wage war against the actual structure and process of American government, those who subvert and manipulate our system of justice for petty persecution of an American president, and those who make threats against his life and safety -- and that of his family -- those malignant and hypocritical bullies should thank the Living God they daily disdain that, in present-day America, we no longer prosecute treason. They wouldn't stand a chance.
