The last thing Britain needs is more division. Farage is a loathsome opportunist with no other policies to offer the “sheep” who keep bleating “leave means leave”. He is a one trick pony, who believes in one thing only, Brexit...and at any cost to the country. Like all populists, he is a megalomaniac. Melanie Phillips is every bit as loathsome, as she peddles this right-wing garbage daily to the readers of the Daily Mail. What we really need is to bring our divided country together again, that will never happen unless this mess is put back to the people. This new Brexit party will undoubtedly do well in the European elections and will take votes from The Tories and Labour because the EU elections are conducted on a PR system of voting, Were there to be a General Election., still conducted on the first past the post system , they would be unlikely to win, even with a large proportion of the vote. If we can’t get a vote on whatever final deal Mrs May is still trying to cobble together, then a General Election must be called. You, as a Canadian will not be able to vote in either, and therefore it matters not a jot what your opinions on this matter are.
