Is it legal to use a mobile phone whilst driving in the USA?
I know UK is now using unmarked vehicles, especially lorries, to catch phoning/texting drivers.
In some places it is highly illegal, other places have not legislated it yet. It is stupid as hell, but so far stupid as hell is still legal.
My phone does not control my every move!
PUT IT DOWN AND LEAVE IT DOWN!
Excellent documentary called From One Second to the Next, Werner Herzog, on texting and driving. I refuse to ride with anybody who does it, and that included my ex husband...no excuse to look up a map on your phone with another adult in the car. . Well, not even then. Pull over!
Watch someone will blame the truck driver for being in the way. Put the damn phone down. If you can not not answer it lock it in the trunk and exit the freeway say every 30 minutes to check for IMPORTANT emergencies. Fucking idiot murdered 3 people.
Here's an idea instead of going after and charging women using their federal legal right to seek an abortion with murder(like Georgia or Alabama) how about we go after people using electronic devices while driving with attempted murder. Just sayin'
I agree 110%
Good idea.
So sad and unnecessary.
It's heartbreaking the stupid driver killed his passengers, too: likely friends or family.
Geez. I don't see how anyone could have lived through that one... unless the fucking driver just drove without texting.
I saved the photo and posted it on Facebopok. Hope it discourages drivers from texting.
I got it off FB a few days ago, forgot which folder I saved it to. But yes, there cannot be enough PSAs like this, it amazes me in rush hour how many folks are on their phones. Makes me crazy! The one that really pissed me off was the guy in the supermarket parking lot looking at his phone while he was looking for a parking space. I was on foot and he was awfully close to me. I wanted to smack his car to get his attention and say "can't it wait for all the three minutes it will take you to park?"
