If you could name 1 decision you have made that has greatly improved your life what would you say?... Other than escaping religion. I think that one applies to everyone on this site who wasn't raised secular.

Moving to Nashville at age 55 without a single connection in the music business or knowing anyone at all in that town.....It was truly a stupid, crazy thing to do and I had the best 8 years of my life as a result......Sometimes the best thing you can do in life is to just say F'k it-Geronimo!

Following my heart, and moving to Florida when the urge became strong - even though family and friends didn't want me to, and not waiting to reach a certain age. Not that I had an unhappy life where I was - just that life is too short to live in an area that doesn't resonate with who you are ...

I was meant to be in warmth, surrounded by abundant critters, and never exposed to snow again !

As an ENFP, I simply cannot give just one answer... In chrono order:

  1. Said yes to marrying my late husband
  2. Applied and attended vet school
  3. Agreed to "try" having kids who we agreed we were not going to have when we got married
  4. Sought recovery support for quitting alcohol

Thanks for your comment. How are you doing with trying to quit alcohol?

11 year anniversary just passed. The first year was rough enough for me to never want to repeat it, but the sober life has been well worth it!

Deciding to accept my boyfriend 8 years ago into my heart to be my husband something I had never thought I would want with anyone together I have gotten control of my addictions and have crossed half the country together since in search of a place good enough for us both to call home

Ultimately, my divorce greatly improved my life and my daughters life. My late wife was emotionally disturbed. Her absence was an unwelcome relief.

Joining the military. I was a screwed up teenager, and I needed to get my $h!t together.

It is hard to pick one: I could name a number of such decisions ranging from deciding to go to college and to graduate school to the decision to leave my sociopathic first wife who systematically went about making life hell on earth.

I made a family by having a baby for a bi-racial gay male couple.

Yes that is pretty amazing!

Going back to school in my mid 40's and studying art, and then becoming a commercial sculptor. My work was then my passion, in fact still is.
