Tell No One - a 2 hour film about the abuse by the Catholic Church within Poland. The full movie is available on YouTube. It is in Polish, but with English subtitles.
Fascinating two hours, and an excellent partner to the film "Spotlight". Here you can hear the victims tell their story, confront their abusers. And again, the church just shuffled the abusers around rather than confront the issue.
This shit is so fucking disgusting.. I can't even find words to describe it. All these bastards need to be tortured and left for dead. The scars they leave behind mentally and physically and emotionally goes so deep. Tough watching movies like this. I loved Spotlight. They did an amazing job on how they portrayed the church and the story they told.
The Church is paying for it in Ireland. I'm not sure what the hold-up is in Poland.
Early in the video, an abused woman confronts her abuser. He complains that she waited to long to approach him (she was riddled with fear). He asks why not earlier, he could have compensated her. Her response - the pain is mental and on the inside, money is not what she is after or needs.
@brentan thanks...took "paying for it" a bit too literally.
Given how important the church is in Poland (they revere JPII after all) and how (as the video explains) highly priests are regarded - curious to see what effect this will have. The YouTube video is already up to 18 MM views in a week (was published May 11)
I watched the documentary called Deliver Us from Evil which was about one of the USA priests who molested many kids and he was also moved to different churches and kept doing it. Also, remember that the Vatican has been laundering money for a very long time.
The rcc makes the mafia look like a bunch of rank amateurs.
