For all the nonbelievers out there, is sex something just for pleasure? Or does it still have a spiritual aspect to it?

Sex is for procreation, not pleasure. It happens to be pleasurable because that's how evolutionary pressures have got us to engage in it. Spiritual? you need to define what you mean by spiritual.

Sex is for pleasure, but it's even better with an emotional content. I hesitate to use the word "spiritual".

We probably have to think of spirituality in a secular way. But how to put it in words? And even though the Bible talks about two people becoming one flesh and we're not great fans of it these days, is there something to that? Perhaps a synergy.
