At least 16 people were killed and dozens others injured after being struck by lightning in the past two days in southern Rwanda, an official said on Saturday.
Lighting hit 45 people who were praying on Saturday, leaving 14 of them dead, XInhua quoted Nyaruguru district mayor Francois Habitegeko as saying.
Some of the injured remain in critical condition, he said.
Two other people, including a primary school pupil, died early on Friday after being struck by lightning, he added.
Sixteen others were injured in the lightning strike on Friday, the mayor said.

Sad , but then again , theygot what they wanted .
Jeeez. I've heard of whole fields of deer or something like that being struck by lightening, but I've never heard of it to this extent with humans.
That’s one of my preferred methods of death, sans the praying part
Lightening is dangerous. Had it enter my parent's bathroom with foil wallpaper in the 70s and crash next to their bedside.
Well??? Don't leave us hanging what did it do with the foil paper after it entered the bathroom so it crashed in the bedroom ?
"Foil wallpaper in the 70's"...wow, the visual this created. Glad your parents were not injured.
Stupidity in decorating.
It zig zagged from the roof to the paper-it actually scorched it-they redecorated rapidly with non-foil paper.
Lifes a bitch but it has nothing to do with religion.
