Are you an indoors or outdoors kinda person?
I need to be indoors when it's time to be alone; and I need to be outside when it's time to connect with life.
I'm an introvert (who actively goes to the gym).
Naturally; I prefer the indoors.
I love the outdoors only if...
I'm sitting out in the backyard with a bonfire going on in the background, listening to music, glass of wine in hand, all while sitting next to the man I love.
I don't mind a lakeside picnic under the stars either.
Only if I have to, I can tolerate being outdoors.(For survival purposes.)
Other than that, I don't mind catching a good show on TV, movie rental, or reading a good book in bed. Candlelights, incense, low music in background, etc.
I'm really lucky. When I'm indoors I'm usually working at my computer, but looking outdoors through floor to ceiling windows. Then when it comes time to meet clients, it's usually outdoors, on the beach or in a garden, or under a waterfall... so many breathtaking places.
For recreation, it's usually always outdoors, swimming, bicycling, walking or just sitting with friends in the evenings watching the colors change in the sky.
For my location, the weather is almost always ideal for being outside, but it's not always practical. I usually avoid the heat of the day and venture out when the sun is lower in the sky or keep in the shade with a bit of a breeze.
Both. I like to be indoors part of the day and outdoors a couple of hours or more, depending on the weather.
I'm mostly an indoors kind of person. I am very sensitive to heat and start having problems when it's much more than 80 degrees. Cold I can tolerate -- but then there's ice and snow which represent challenges for me as a senior with somewhat shaky mobility. It's not that I don't appreciate the sights -- but for me they're best enjoyed from somewhere enclosed.
Outdors - I work outdoors six, often seven, days each week, rain shine snow or heatwave - tonights forecast means I will sleep out under the stars with my dog beside me.
Both. A more salient question:
Are you a sedentary or active person?
Sedentary
Built a home once, super solid and custom stuff … but nothing like the extravagant McMansions in the woodys neighborhood. Asked why? I described my house being little more than a place to hide out during bad weather.. 23+ acres of wooded & orcharded playland was where I’d rather be
