Tell them you want to discontinue their service and see what they offer you it's alot better than your original price. It shouldn't be like this but it is just one big game

My sister and I trade off every year, moving the cable into a different name to get the "new customer" price. It really is a game.

When I lived alone,, I'd call and ask to be transferred to "custoemr retention" (that was with Centurylink). I'd threaten to go to cable if they did not give me a good price.

That was my experience with DirecTV. Things got much better once I cut the cord! (:

That is now changing in UK, after the office for fair trading stepped in. Which? magazine was instrumental in exposing glaring differences.

Always live where there are alternatives. I don't like Century Link, but every time Xfinity tries to raise my internet price I say keep it the same or I'm going to Century and..... so far....... knock on wood.

I used to do that with Centurylink. Now i live with my sister and we just trade off each year putting the cable in the other name so we get the "new customer" discount.
