I love music It makes me smile. What song or genre of music brings a smile to your face?
A lot of early music - plainchant and polyphony - amazing what could be done by just blending human voices - I don't mind the religious context as mainly latin text and my translation is not that quick.
Highlights Allegri Miserere mei deus and Tallis Spem in alium
Bach, Beethoven, and most of the classical period
Highlights Beethoven pastoral symphony (pastoral) Bach - welll how do you choose just one piece - maybe air on a thing string
Later Mahler, Shostakovich, Dvorak, Barber, Vaughan - Williams, Rachmaninov - just too many.
crooners, like Jim Reeves, who had a silky voice
sixties bands - from Allman Brothers to Zeppelin, with Cream, Pink Floyd, Yes, Supertramp, Camel and so many more
now - music by voices8, Pentatonix, but very few 'singers' and many new performers of classical music
Hallelujah, two shows recently, all re-runs, FBI and Numbers have used this music as their ending melody. I just loose it, so beautiful.
I love beautiful music and one doesn't have to take it literally. Just listen and enjoy. That's your right.
