I agree with your view on this issue. We can all hope that it does not happen. One problem in the political religious believing right is that they claim the Founding Fathers were believers. The writings of this group do not prove this. In fact, most of them were Deists. This means that without science as we know it today ideas of a god were there as a prime mover. After that god vacated the scene and it is not possible to contact him, nor is he trying to contact us.
