What is a "Modified Vegetable Diet"?
A slight variation on what my mom refers to as a "cabbage diet". She used it to lose weight after my siblings and I came along . She learned it from her mother, so I know it's been around for at least 75 years or so.
Basically, I followed the recipe in the link below. It made about 1.5 gallons. I have a super light breakfast, just to wake up my metabolism: coffee, water, and a donut or banana. I eat a good-size bowl at lunch with a handful of cashews or other nut. Then for dinner, it's another healthy bowlful of the soup along with about a third of a pound of boneless, skinless, chicken tenderloins, and a small salad. A couple of nights, I even had a Klondike Bar and a Coke.
