Started on a modified vegetable diet Monday and have lost nearly 8 pounds in the last 84 hours - without feeling hungry or exercising!

almost 1 lb every 10 hrs. you had better be careful that you don't waste away to nothing.

Starting at 6'4 and 290 pounds, I could keep this pace up for a month before I hit my college weight of 215.

A good vegan diet takes a lot of work. Kudos on finding one that works for you.

What is a "Modified Vegetable Diet"?

A slight variation on what my mom refers to as a "cabbage diet". She used it to lose weight after my siblings and I came along . She learned it from her mother, so I know it's been around for at least 75 years or so.

Basically, I followed the recipe in the link below. It made about 1.5 gallons. I have a super light breakfast, just to wake up my metabolism: coffee, water, and a donut or banana. I eat a good-size bowl at lunch with a handful of cashews or other nut. Then for dinner, it's another healthy bowlful of the soup along with about a third of a pound of boneless, skinless, chicken tenderloins, and a small salad. A couple of nights, I even had a Klondike Bar and a Coke.
