Donald Trump and almost the entire Republican party remind me of the story of the big, long-legged bullfrog which suddenly acquired the ability to walk. He reared up on his hind legs and struttingly strode forward with great confidence. But, with his eyes in the back of his head, he stumbled from each new situation to the next.

Republicans are desperately trying to hold on to a falsely idealized vision of a comfortable past and willfully trying to prevent a new future In so doing, they are placing us all and our country in great danger. McConnell knows this, but he is simply corrupt. Trump is so stupid and unfocused that he really does not know what he is doing, except that some things incite his uninformed base.
