It looks as though most of us are pretty sensible...
Not that there is anything wrong with treating yourself on occasion!
How about you, redcupcoffee?

@Redcupcoffee
Wow,, good find !
If I wasn't such a hermit, I'd drive to Michigan to wine and dine you ! 🙂

I'm such a cheapskate I don't spend anything on clothes unless I have to, probably explains why I'm unattached, but £80 on a Minnesota Vikings jacket many moons ago 🙂

I got a real leather Vikings jacket at Savers for 8 bucks...made my week- that was two sizes ago...just got a 2X hoodie on EBAY that I could not fit into...China ....I have about 30 hats and over 50 shirts....SKOL!

@Purplefan2 Skol! 🙂

Army uniforms, they only cost 6 years of my life.

@Redcupcoffee Yes, it was. I got some fabulous experience from it, and my kids can truly say "my mama wore combat boots."

@arronpaul46 Thank you!! It is really easy to be pretty at 20something, as I realize how old that picture is. Circa 1980.

I have a leather coat like the ones in the movie lost boys. I bought it in Korea in 1988 my friend and I each got one it cost us 60$ each back then. Had seen one in the leather store similar to mine the price tag was 700$. I know the can you sell it for that factor comes into play. My dingo boots are 130$

A leather jacket, I believe it was around $150 or so

3

$1,200 silk Armani shirt, but it was on clearance and I got it for $300

@Shelton Yep, it's great.. I've had it for about 8 years now and it's still in perfect condition. It's a long sleeve, black button up shirt that can be used for both dressing up and more casual situations. I call it my "second date shirt"..

A Brooks Bros. woollen coat, which cost me £800 (around $1100) - I felt like an absolute scumbag (and an utter failure of a socialist) for spending so much on an item of clothing, but it was a once-in-a-lifetime thing and I really like a nice coat.

A freaking pair of glasses $350. Geez, what you have to do to see in this world.

@Shelton I saw a show one time that went into the sunglass industry and showed that the cheaper manufacturers were getting their lenses from the same places that more expensive manufacturers were getting them. In a nutshell you were paying for name only when buying sunglasses.

150 dollar Loki dress....I regret nothing.

Avengers Loki? Awesome.

2

Probably a pair of Jordans. They were like $140. I got them for free though. If we count sun glasses, then it was a pair of Oakley's that cost a little bit more than $300. I got those for free too lol. Also a suit. I have one that cost about $900. I got it for about a little bit less than half price though.

2

A five hundred dollar suit my sister bought me for interviews after I graduated from college. The darn thing must have shrunk because it's too small now.

2

New hiking boots. $180.

2

When I was in college nearing graduation (1977) I bought a three peice taylored wool suit, ivory color, $400 (a lot then). It was great and I looked like the shit then, thin, bushy curly, brunet/redish hair.

It's gone! Now, it's all gone.

2

Several hundred $ on motorcycle clothing and gear. Seemed like a good occasion not to cheap out.

2

Leatherfield jacket. $100

2

I have never bought anything expensive I am totally happy with the clothes I have simple workaday I am not terribly interested in dressing up - just want to be comfortable tee shirt and baggy knitted jersey trousers most of the time

American made sneakers and dress shoes.

2

2

My work boots. $179-00 AUD

2

I had a $300 suit, which I almost never wore, and a $200 down coat which I wear when I go skiing or out in the desert on winter nights.

2

Most of my wardrobe came from the lost and found where my ex wife worked. I did recently buy a 45 dollar pair of walking shoes.

2

I broke my wrist in a brand new pair of $80 Enzo boots years ago- so $500?

2

I had a DAKS suit made by Simpsons of Piccadilly many years ago .The price still makes my eyes water ! It was blue serge . I looked like a Mafia chieftain when I got married in it .

2
