"The Mexican government has dispatched approximately 15,000 troops and National Guard officers to the U.S. border in a bid to check the flow of migration from Central America." [foxnews.com]
Are you sure it's not to stop you Gringo bastards getting cheaper everything their side of the border?
@Bierbasstard You are the big fish, we have less population in Portugal than most large cities 10.7m and falling, less money than you spend on hamburgers and beer, nice being Chickenshit though! We have more immigrants from Syria than the US, have a look at the stats if you have access to the truth?
How many Portuguese have been taking advantage of Spain's economic shortfalls?
But yeah.... those damn sanctions won't work.. will they..
Wonderful, just wonderful - now we have Nazi-inspired forces on both sides of the border while poor, desperate Central Americans are fleeing for their lives. Ashamed of your trumpie and his whole administration who should be charged with war crimes.
Pressure from trump on tariff?
@Bobby9 threats usually work even dispatched by a moron POTUS.
Trump redefined the conditions considered acceptable for assylum. Prior to him these conditions were considered as potential reasons. Trump changed the conditions to appease his base who, like him, lack empathy. We helped create the conditions in their countries by manipulatiing the politics and economics in those countries beginning in the 1930's or so. We are partially culpable for what is happening diwn there.

Judges can be liberal or conservative in their political leanings, and as such rule within the constructs of the law accordingly. You didnt read the article. Trump has the capacity to nominate conservative judges, and given the the Senate which approves the nominations was conservative at the time of the appointments, it follows that they were more inclined to follw Trumps dictum.
You are being naive if you think the "law is the law" There are different laws for different people in this society. Many laws are broadly defined and have broad latitude for interpretation, implementation,, and enforcement.
@Bobby9
Sorry, I think you are over optimistic about the integrity in the way the law is practiced. If its not naivete, its purposeful denial. My stepson was a lawyer and he had many stories regarding how the law had little to do with justice more to do with wordsmithing and money. I also think you are in denial regarding the role and influence that Trump and his Administration have in shaping policy, especially regarding the immigration issue.
One of the problems that happened under Trump is that the charges for illegal entry has been made a criminal charge, as opposed to it remaining a civil charge. (8 U.S.C. 1325). That has changed the complection of the implementation and enforcement of the law. It set up the stage for child separation from parents and their incarceration. Likewise Trump and Pence both stated openly and unequivocally that the No Mercy approach was put into place to discourage assylum seekers from coming to the US. It didnt work, the influx and incidents of assylum seekers actually doubled since the policy shift.

@Bobby9
At last we agree on some point. I concur with your first and second statement. But disagree that it is a simple definition. There is nothing simple about the immigration issue.
As Bill deBlasio rightfully pointed out last night in the debates (regardless of whether you like him or not), For all the American citizens who feel you are falling behind and the American dream is not working for you, the immigrants didn’t do that to you,” de Blasio said in one of the debate’s more memorable lines. “The big corporations did that to you. The 1 percent did that to you.”
The American economy is dependent upon immigrant labor. They take jobs other Americans do not want. The agricultural sector depends upon their labor. Its not ethical, or moral, but its reality. Their culture is tied to country for much longer the European culture. Thise ties are not insubstantial and easliy dismissed
And as I pointed out, the US is partially to blame for the circumstances in the Northern Triangle countries. The gangs are a side effect if our political and economic manioulations in the area. Therefore, it is anything but a simple definition.
@Bobby9
Your law argument is too simplistic. The legal system is not that clean and straightforward. All you have to do is look at the Reconstruction system in the South after the Civil War. Or look at envirobmental law. The laws governing environmental management and contracts are in the books, but it is up to each Administration to define the rules for compliance. And you are not really arguing law, you are arguing a theoretical ideal that does not exist in reality.
We changed their economy from an agrarian one where everybody participated to a monoculture run by corporations. The corporations. through government manipulation that we fostered and put in place cheated the peasants out their land. They then controlled the employment, which was turned into a form of indentured servitude.
When the corps pulled out, the government collapsed. In stepped socialist leaders. The CIA and the government then threw their support behind despotic dictatorial leaders to expunge socialism from our neighborhood.
This brought increased instability and corruption. Part of the corruption is the gangs as unemploymernt skyrocketed, jobs did not exist. Paramilitary forces and gangs filled the void to control the peasants through fear and intimidation. They controlled the commerce and the economic flow of goods.
Did you read the other articles I sent that speaks to Central Americas economic entrapment?
Laws can only be officially repealed by the Legislature. The President can issue an Executive Order, but that does not make it law until is tried in the Supreme Court if challenged. If not challenged it obeyed as if a law until challenged. President can only define what compliance looks like.
Gangs are a consequence of a collapsed economic and political system. The dictators were not an equitable substitute for the existing socialist government. Better treatment under Socialism than what followed, including the present form of representative corporate democracy (if can be called that).
Finally if this is true, the invaders will stay south of USA border and Rio Grande with MEXICAN troops reversing the previous policy of forcing illegal aliens into USA ....Mexico can best give asylum under one language
