As owner of Jewish by Culture Group, many of us do not support Israel and Zionism. I am one of them. I support the state of Israel to exist but not at the taking of land from the Palestineans and the way they are being treated by Israels far right. Many non-Jews are mistaken in believing all Jews support Israel. This is simply not the case.
I think we need to tread carefully on this territory: Your proposed assumption doesn’t withstand scrutiny. First, being “Jewish,” religiously or culturally, doesn’t necessarily translate into support for Israel or its current policies. In Israel itself, there is more vigorous debate and opposing viewpoints than we hear about in the US. Also, in terms of numbers and financial clout, some of the most strident, pro-Israel support in the US comes from non-Jewish christian groups who believe that crisis and war in the Middle East fulfills biblical “prophesies” and will hasten the end of the world that they crave.
In other words, it is not just the Zionists, it is also the religio-nazi christians who are stearing the country down the path of disaster.
Darn statistics. That's not a huge percentage.
I don't want to sound racist, but isn't the acting industry in Hollywood over 90% Jewish? It's a bit off kilter, considering the U.S. population is between 2 and 3%.
They are the founders of Hollywood. Do you object to this fact? 6 out of 8 top studio heads were Jewish - do you have a problem with that? If you do that is anti-Semitism.
No. The fault lies in Trump, not the Congress. Trump is playing games. Their Jewish association has nothing to do with the Infrastructure debate. In fact, in my experience, the Jewish people I have known are infinitely more empathetic to social issues than their non-Jewish counterparts.
I agree with you on that, but I've knows a few Jewish folks that have mentioned there are different levels in their culture. They claim you need to be Orthodox Jewish to be in the elite club.
Yes in any group there are those. Whether it be Jews, Mormons, Jehovah Witness, Aryan Brotherhood, there are always those that demand a pecking order and a hiersrchy ro fill better sbout themselves.
This has been going on since Trump
@Jolanta
Are you implying that Trump and his cabal are responsible for the number of people of Jewish extraction presently making up the Congress. That doesn't make sense as they do not control the outcomes of the Congressional election. Its more a matter of who can afford to run and who wants to run. They made their case and the people elected them.
I do not know the bias of the Isreal Post newspaper. Isreal has noth liberals and conservatives just like the states
@Bobby9, @t1nick No I am not implying and I do not think Trump is responsible for this. Just simply posting something from a Jewish paper. You are stating something important that "only people who can afford to run and want to run" that is important, don't you think. I guess you know about the saying "blood is thicker than water".
@chucklesIII yes there are different factions - I was raised Reform the lowest of the low.
