How many if yall are saving for college for your kids? I feel like no matter how much i save it won't be enough. I need to remind myself that money put away now is a-lot more later and stop spending and start investing. Any tricks or tips?
I mean, I joined the army so I could pay for school so there's that...
But seriously, set up an automatic deposit to a savings account and forget about it when it gets in there. Just treat it like it doesn't exist. And throw extra money in there when you can.
But if your kids play a musical instrument, might I recommend the army band? Seriously though, that's what I did. If you're going to be in the military, be in the band!
True recruiters can guarantee you a billet or military school in a career field you are QUALIFIED for by test scores and school classes attended....all services use MOS numbers Military Occupational Specialty now...gone are my Navy separate name rates....the only condition is successful completion of boot camp in the time allowed....by pure coincidence I got off the bus from the San Diego Airport 1972 and will lining up tall to short some guy hollers WHO HERE CAN PLAY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS?? THEREafter I spent only one day at the rifle range and one week parading with an M-1....Navy Drum&Bugle Corps Company 909 was my daily drill in music except for minimum Navy training excercises... NBC shipboard general quarters and testing for comprehension of Bluejackets Manual (classified confidential if not secret pages labeled need to know only)
..3 months of all that and off to A school in Orlando
@GreenAtheist yeah, nowadays you have to audition to get into the military bands. When I went into my recruiters and told them I wanted to be in the band they were like... Uh... We've never put anyone in the band before... I told them to call the band liaison and she got them straighted out
buy some gold bullion for each child. the fiat money system will collapse with disastrous consequences.
Some states have tax exempt fund plans people can pay into now and spend tax free later on public schools other states promote church schools....Grants work study programs and student loans can support dedicated students as long as grades are good and excess borrowing funds entertainment automobiles and vacation travel....saving up for a top tier school like Harvard or Stanford MIT JOHNS HOPKINS may not succeed at any price without high SAT scores
Well it was a while ago. But at birth I started saving 100 dollars a month a child. Today , what maybe 200 or 300?
I paid their entire way, no student loans
Im doing 5k a year
