What exactly is the role of Ivanka Trump?
Over the course of her tenure as special assistant to the president under her father's administration, Ivanka Trump has remained silent following President Trump's hasty Twitter announcement that transgender people would no longer be allowed to serve in the U.S. military, and she has yet to weigh in on the current conflict with North Korea.
Despite having an office in the West Wing of the White House, serving as special assistant to the president of the United States, and even controversially sitting in for her father with world leaders (as she did at the Summit), Ivanka Trump maintains that she doesn't like to get political.
I think he has let slip a couple of times quite early on in his presidency his feelings towards Ivanka and it sounded pretty creepy....not really father/ daughter ...if you get my drift!
I was going to say that maybe she helps him during episodes of what appears to be the onset of dementia...but if that is the case, she sure hasn't shut him up during a lot of his rants...
I don't think she is taken seriously...too bad...I bet if she were not associated with the two names of Kushner and tRump that she really would be...
I have read about this trait that runs in the Trump family. Trump's father rewarded the smartest of his offspring. he wanted to see who could take the mantle from him and perform. He observed the kids from an early age and gave most support and money to Donald because he was responding his ambition. It seems to me that Donald is doing the same. He thinks that Ivanka is the smartest, he adores her talent and the fact that she is responding to how he wants things to work out in his and their lives. Donald Trump does not show the same adoration for the 3 dumbos - Donald Jr., Eric or the other daughter Tiffany (from Marla Maples). No one even talks about her. The common theme of being preferred by the father in Trump's family is certainly the looks. The child must be very good looking.
I have seen this tendency in some families too. I am not sure about the mothers. They usually love the ugly duckling.
It is clear to most now that Trump just like his father was... admires the white, handsome and smart gene. He loves the feeling of superiority. The family gene believed that they are on the Earth to deserve the best primarily because who they are, how good they look, how smart they are and how successful they are. There is white supremacy theme there. Therefore, you will not see even non-white people around him in his administration. His top confidantes are all white old men. Trump just threw a bone to Ben Carson to barely meet the quota of representing a black man in his cabinet.
@St-Sinner Interesting...kinda sad to be loved for appearance...quite dysfunctional...I wonder if it felt by the others and how that impacts their sibling relationships....I understand that in most families, kids have different roles and perhaps their is subconscious favoring of one over the others...but most parents do a good job of equalizing their time and love on each child for different aspects of that child...
I know I was favored by my father and I adored him...in that way, I am like her...but the difference is that my father expected me to have my own opinions and life and even question many of the things he might have believed in...it is tough to say aloud, but it was not until he died that I truly felt free to be myself...I realized that I had spent most of my life trying to please him and be the person he wanted...perhaps someday, she will experience the same waking moment...(I wonder how much she has suppressed to be in his good graces...she was friends with Chelsea Clinton...that had to hurt...)...
