The meme says that they think thy have but it is a sense of accomplishment.
However, I have known many very religious families in which one or more of the kids found praying together as a family was not a choice, and they resented it. In short, what was "accomplished" was resentment of the parents by the kids, but the parents seemed to be completely unaware of the kid's resentment or just did not care.
