These Democrats are as deplorable as Republicans. Passing stuff they know will fail simply to keep voters in their corner(s) for re-election. smh
House passes $15.00 per hour minimum wage

Democrats have their faults, but contrary to Republicans, Democratic politicians' voting records show they at least care about #LGBTQ, civil and women's rights, the environment (including climate change), the working classes, the poor, campaign finance reform and other progressive issues.
Most Democrats are progressives, you just need to take the time to look at their voting records to see that.
I have held the opinion for some time that dems were complicit in most of the problems facing America, and,I am a longtime democratic voter, and find this troubling
Not much got done thanks to the "Party of No." Obama tried to pass so much legislation but the racist Republicans voted it down at every turn.
You and some others need to learn about the concept of false equivalence. However, it's likely that understanding false equivalence won't affect the true motives behind these views (or is it just lack of motive?).
Please elaborate on your statement
@WayneDalton To be sure, Democrats bargain with the Republicans to pass anything, so complicity (and corruption) is unavoidable. However, equating the two parties, who are so extremely different in their values and goals, demonstrates an intellectual sloth only a sliver above trolldom. It's akin to how racists are unable and unwilling to understand their lack of empathy. The impairment of our species is breathtaking to behold, and the post question is a perfect example.
I think it's time for a third or fourth party in the United States of America. Does anybody else agree?
There are "3rd and 4th" parties (the Green party and the Libertarians), it's just that they get a minimum number of votes because they're too far left and right to appeal to moderates. They consequently just end up taking votes away from the Dems and Repubs. We will never have a multi-party system, as in Europe, until we enact campaign finance reform, which Democrat politicians typically vote in favor of, and the Republicans oppose.
Phased in over 6 yrs up to the year 2025 with escape clauses built in based upon future labor statistics THEN 2026 automatic cost of living annual increases.....everyone call turtle office in KY demand a vote on this house bill .....call Rand Paul too who gets COLA EVERY YEAR VIOLATING THE 27TH AMENDMENT EVERY EVEN YEAR SINCE 1994
I disagree, the Grim Reaper, Mitch McConnell will block anything the House passes. So what should the Democrats do? Sit on their hands?
@SeaGreenEyez Not really, it puts those who oppose a living wage on the record as having voted against it. It underscores the hypocrisy of assholes like McConnell who became millionaires while serving in public office and representing private interests.
@Antidronefreeman Not true at all! Many here criticize the Dems, they're far from perfect. But compared to the orange anus they look like angels!
A huge proportion of democrats are in the wrong party, they should join the Republicans.
I disagree. At least they're passing legit, useful bills.
The expectation is not that they will be successful given the make-up the Senate, but that they went on record as supporting. Whether their support is heartfelt, - well as the Republicans are fond of claiming about Trump's racism: on't know what's in his heart" (BS - actions speak louder than words and his actions are clear).
Democrats are passing bills to show Americans what they support.
Doing nothing because Mitch McConnell can block House bills would make them look spineless and weak.
President Obama never had a supermajority.

@SeaGreenEyez is Democrat disingenuous and worse thsn Republican duplicitous? If the system is broken one can not expect it to work. Not an excuse, just an observation.
