I was up in central London yesterday, to attend my old military regiment's annual reunion luncheon. Then I joined a couple of friends for drinks in a private club, just off Trafalgar Square, before heading to the West End to see a musical "Come from Away".
All in all it was a very pleasant day.
Me, wearing my regimental tie, taken in a mirror
Nelson's column in Trafalgar Square.
The auditorium of the Phoenix theatre, where we had excellent, VIP seats.

Sounds like a great day!

It was indeed.

Isn’t that the same theater where the recent revival of Miss Saigon played? Beautiful venue. The first theater I attended in London, and hopefully not the last.

Not sure about Miss Saigon, but it is a beautiful venue.
It was also an excellent, energetic show. Most impressive.

@Petter

Perhaps not my kind of show then. I like my musicals dark and violent (Miss Saigon, Sweeney Todd, The Secret Garden, Sunset Boulevard, Kiss Of The Spider Woman, Jeckyll and Hyde....).

@webbew1 It is based upon the time when all US air space was closed, after the 9/11 attack, when 7,000 passengers were diverted to Ganda airport in Newfoundland.

Sounds like you were having a very good time, I'm happy for you all.

Thank you. Holidays are great fun, especially when you have plenty of time. (2 months of it!)
