if she went down from engine failure & they know her exact course they might find her. if she was blown off course & crashed b/c of a storm--no chance.

They couldn't find an airliner when they thought they had a good idea of where it was .... Amelia crashed 'somewhere over that ocean' and it is a tiny little lump of metal with many years to become covered in debris - not much hope of finding it

Robert Ballard is a brilliant oceanographer and the search for the plane will be one hell of a ride, with or without success.

Didn't she turn up on the Star ship Voyager a few years ago?

Never saw that episode -will have to watch it.
