Sadly, that is true ... I think women turn to religion because they are brainwashed from day one and they seem to be guilt-ridden. Some of the worst abuse I have taken has come from female fundies. Groan ... Sigh .....

Women are carriers of culture. Therefore, it is important to inculcate cultural/religious traditions into us so we never question them. This is why so many women get their daughters mutilated by so-called female circumcision.

Probably because of 2 years of Catholic School where I had to wear a jumper every day.
