Was the election of this pathetic individual an inevitability given the makeup of our country, the political climate and socio-economic factors present? None of the qualities normally associated with a President are present in him. Yet 60 MILLION worship him like a God. Or is this a true paradox?

It is the sad state our country is in, not just that those people voted for him (and don’t forget the Republican primaries), but that enough of the decent people who knew better stayed home on Election Day because they didn’t think their vote mattered.
