And for the sing-along/karaoke crowd, here's the Lyrics;
Oh I'd rather go and journey
Where the diamond crest is flowing
And run across the valley
Beneath the sacred mountain
And wander through the forest
Where the the trees have leaves of prisms
And break the light in colors
That no one knows the names of
And when it's time I'll go and wait
Beside a legendary fountain
'Til I see your form reflected
In its clear and jeweled waters
And if you think I'm ready
You may lead me to the chasm
Where the rivers of our vision
Flow into one another
I will want to dive beneath
The white cascading waters
She may beg, she may plead
She may argue with her logic
And mention all the things I'd lose
That really have no value
In the end she will surely know
I wasn't born to follow
That is a Carole King/Gerry Coffin song. For the longest time, thought it was a Bob Dylan song.
@Spinliesel Good one!
Right as the Sturgis Motorhome Rally and Trailer Park ended.
Been watching that intro all summer … jokingly singing it as I ‘head out on the highway’... He’s made a more lasting impact on American society than I ever will.. And, a more enjoyable adventure on my new motorcycle ..or whatever comes my way ~
He also made an impact on how the rest of the world sees Americans. I saw easy Rider many times in Germany. Could not believe the actions of the rednecks in the pickup truck. Now that I am here. I believe that was a true portrait of a certain part of the population. Sad, sad, sad.
@Spinliesel And they’re still out there, emboldened by our mistaken so-called president..
