You can see so clearly the differences between the male and female brain by reading comments. The women tend to focus on the person posting it while the men tend to focus on the subject of the post. This difference makes so much a fundamentally important part of our way of seeing the world its a wonder men and women can ever live together both being satisfied for any length of time.

Always appears to me as a match / clash situation ...for which I’ve long wondered the same. Though, given ample opportunity to bash men, I’ve found ‘our women’ more insightful than aggressive. It’s appreciated, and perhaps reflects the mindset of those posting on ‘a dating site.’

Strange though, when I’m dogged around here, it’s generally by guys … with personal attacks or putdowns..

But an earlier post today seemed to confirm my general assumption regarding women. She’s advocating ‘reading a book.’ Then what? I’ve known a lot of women (beginning as girls) ‘book readers.’ It reminds me of voyeurism; privately learn the inner workings of name-the-subject ..then keep it to yourself … out of fear that ‘acting on it’ may be dangerous.

Again, around here is different ...but not all that much.. The women tend to be far more tolerant of aggression and dominance than men. Perhaps that simply reflects biology, we being the opposite side of the same coin ~

This is all true.

All women do this because we are all products of our female brains.

Also, we all choose pink as our favourite colour, love romcoms, picture our wedding day from the age of 6. We love to skip everywhere and we can't open a jar.

I'm currently living in an attic, waiting to be rescued, preferably by a handsome prince. Can anyone please help??

😜😛

I can lol but you can do better

My white stallion is in for an oil change, but I'll come over and we can watch a Katherine Hepburn/Spencer Tracy film and share a jar of my home made pickles. Sorry, I am just not up to rescuing someone at the moment because my personal life is a sh*t-show and I just wanna watch old black and white movies with someone that won't judge me if I reach for a stupid tissue.

I must have a masculine brain then by your reckoning! I don’t think you are correct in any case, because any rational thinker can separate the subject matter from the poster....this applies equally to both genders. What is needed to have a successful relationship is dialogue, more marriages break up through lack of communication between the two parties, than for any other reason. Never assume to know what the other needs or thinks, and let them know your own desires too. Airing a difference instead of letting it turn into festering resentment is better, for both your relationship and your health and well-being.

Ditto.

We don't. The divorce rate is a pretty good indicator. Add to that the number of people in marriages they wish they were not in but stay for a number of reasons like religion, finances, fear of starting over...and this doesn't include folks who live together and it doesn't work out. We are not good at being together at all. It can be done, but it is rare.

It saddens me that so many people who clearly start out loving each other can’t work out their differences.

@Marionville I know, including myself.

@NoPlanetB Of course it takes both...talking to each other...and listening, which is key.

@NoPlanetB Of course it won’t work if only one works at it....you can’t have a dialogue with yourself...if one party is unwilling to engage it will of course be doomed.

Then why do so many men just look at my photos without reading my profile?

"Men are visual," guys say as an excuse.

In graduate school, we had a professor who dressed in clashing stripes, checks and plaids. During class, he often took out notes and read.

Some male students rudely walked out, slamming the door. Instead, I listened to the brilliant things the professor said.

I was so impressed with this professor's depth of knowledge, I asked him to be my thesis advisor. He was great.

There is no difference in brains or for the most part. Men's brains tend to be slightly bigger. Its a feature of larger skulls and has nothing to do with intellect. There are biological differences and it is probably the hormonal differences that make some differences in behaviour. One thing that surprised me. A picture of a small baby/kitten/puppy creates some hormonal responses for girls, which is akin to empathy, not young men...until the young men have children or bond with an animal. Now many trans people have the same hormonal changes of their identified gender, suggesting biological cause for a person being born trans. It also suggests bonding with pets is good for boys.
My training would lead me to hone in and personalise comments from people I wildly disagree with. We know it is harder to be aggressive with someone who has used your first name. (You will see police officers do this in hostage situations).
Generally, I pefer to discuss the topic in hand. So not sure...

so if a child, particularly boys, grows up with love in their life they are more likely to become well adjusted empathetic adults? seems instinctively logical
