Anybody else love thunderstorms? It just poured last night and I sat on my porch with a lovely drink and savored the rushing wind and the occasional mist on my face. Its been so hot lately

summer storm of warm heavy rainits .... a great time to walk my dog as virtually guarantee no-one else is around

I do love them. The smell after a thunderstorm says the earth is refreshed.

And it's nice not to feel the pressure of having to go laugh and frolic in the sun... sometimes I just want to stay in and organize a damn closet.

Lucky you.

In Alabama we call that baby making weather... Ha!

I love thunderstorms as well but I don't think the five people killed by lightning in the Tatra mountains in Poland yesterday would feel that way.

Totally with you there. My favourite meteorological phenomenon. Not sure I’d like to be at sea in one but on the porch, brilliant.

Me too, thunderstorm over the Med. They kept on coming all night and I had a room with a balcony looking over the sea, I just sat and watched for ages. (With drink of course, the perfect night.)

I love sitting on my deck anytime the weather is acceptable. Thunderstorms are more pleasant then anything other than the sunsets over my lake. There's always a little bitter with the sweet and thunderstorms do bring me lots of broken limbs and twigs to pick up before I can mow.

Great Atheist enjoyment and Thor worship gawd of thunder

From the West Coast, with rare thunderstorms, to the Appalachian Blue Ridge, with seemingly one a day … I’m in love ~ And, doing the same thing as you! @ 2,500 feet, we most often watch either NC or WV get pounded in the distance.

It’s hard for me to believe folks are watching TV with such a show going on outside … but I’ll often see it’s flicker behind their curtains. I actually feel guilty if I don’t get out there to watch it.. Just yesterday, we had a house-shaking strike! ...and again, I so easily understood how and perhaps why our ancestors believed in gods 🙂

This time of year we have them almost every day... I love everything about them except the sometime extreme high winds. I'll watch from my front or back porch. Love it!
