Meh... When you get to "My First Explosive"... let me know!

I didn't start making explosive devices until I was 14.

@Petter I think I was 8... 😉

@RiverRick By 18 I was building pretty hefty bombs, featuring my own design of electrical detonater.
My friend and I had great fun building things to blow up for the sheer spectacle. Today we would have attracted the attention of anti-terrorist forces!

@Petter Yup... The only thing I make these days are smoke devices.

Yeah, I'd have burned down the house a few times with a toy like that.

I grew up in the African bush. To light a fire I would take a red hot coal from another fire and carry it, tossing it from hand to hand as I blew on my palms. This was a technique I had learned from watching the African farm hands.
(I was 5 years old when I started doing this.)

We didn't need that, we had kerosene, gasoline matches and all sorts of s*** to burn when I was a kid. 😲😈

When we were kids, we had to make due with stolen matches and a Fidibus, a rolled up piece of paper used to light cigars.
My younger brother and his gang of hoodlums mananged to set the neighbor's hay barn on fire. It cost my family our sheep ( we had only one, for milk )

Gotta laugh. Are you a pyromaniac that loves meat?
