What’s your favourite food dish? mines pasta and tomato sauce. Also im a picky eater so it’s hard for me to find something i really like.
Curry!
One of the joys of my life is curry on rice. Madras, Vindaloo, Saag, Massaman, Thai Red Yellow or Green, whatever -- I'll go nuts for any of them.
I don't eat meat but the spicy creamy heat of curry will make my day every time.
That sounds really delicious.
i'm the opposite, snobby but not picky lol. i can't choose just one dish, but some favorites include: lox, salad of almost all sorts, lamb (many styles) and sashimi. i love a good buffet so i don't have to limit myself, not just in amount of food but in dishes. i like a good selection. mongolian bbq is great -- do it yourself!
i do go to adult daycare thrice a week (four times this week because we went fishing today, and we don't usually go in on wednesdays; i caught four sunfish!) the quality of the lunch offerings varies wildly but they do quite well with the beef tips in gravy. i make a mean matza ball soup, brisket or stir-fry, myself.
there is SO much more. pad thai. palak paneer. any very thick creamy soup. i adore brussels sprouts, and raw okra. juicy seaweed! okay i have to stop now because i'm getting hungry.

Thats so interesting, i’ve never heard of Mongolian bbq?
@averykings oh, it's something some asian buffets offer, not a dish in and of itself but a system. you grab a plate or bowl and fill it with the raw items you would like to have stir-fried for you, generally a selection of meats, vegetables and such things as pineapple and peanuts, and then a choice of sauces and oils. you hand this to a person who slaps it onto a huge metal drum and stir-fries it for you, and you can watch if you like. i always bypass the noodles because i don't want to fill up on this -- there's a whole buffet to explore on the same trip! i just want a taste of each thing.

Pizza holds a special place in my heart. I don't eat meat — vegetarian for almost 18 years — but a good cheese pizza really hits the spot.
I like a variety of other foods, though, and one of my favorites to make is a simple rice and lentils dish: Cook brown rice and lentils separately. While those are cooking cut up vegetables (onion, cucumber, summer squash, zucchini, tomato, cilantro, garlic, etc.) And mash up an avocado to mix and hold it all together. Add hot sauce and seasonings as you like. When the rice and lentils are finished, scoop them over the vegetables and let them warm the veggies. Then, after a few minutes, mix it all up. That's it. It's really good and takes almost no time to make.
I also like to make velvety scrambled eggs. My mother made scrambled eggs when I was a kid that had the consistency of a kitchen sponge. I didn't know any better and enjoyed them — smothered in ketchup. The way I make them now they're moist and buttery, with light, delicate curds. You'd never think to douse them in ketchup.
I love ripe, sweet fruit, in season. I've gone through phases of a near-fruitarian diet. If I lived in a warmer climate, I'd probably go mostly fruitarian permanently.
I like scrambled egg but i hate ketchup and avocado lol.
@averykings I like ketchup on some things, but never again on scrambled eggs. Avocado has such a mind taste; is it the texture you dislike? In my dish it's more to give the ingredients cohesion, but you'd probably not taste it directly (especially with the seasonings and hot sauce). But there's probably a substitution — possibly an egg mixed in and then cooked from the heat of the rice and lentils.
Sooo many dishes! But let’s go with baked mac & cheese with a buttery breadcrumb topping.
Lubia Polo. I had a boyfriend that was from Iran, and he cooked this and Chelo-Kabab
It's a Persian (Iranian) dish and is sooooo good. Here's a recipe: [thedeliciouscrescent.com] , and a recipe for Chelo-Kabab: [196flavors.com]
