Great answer by Warren to a silly question. [twitter.com]
Unfortunately, from what I saw Warren is still not understanding the real problem. We are too quick to point fingers at some industry(s) and neglect our own culpability in the whole situation. It is our collective activities that contribute to the general health (or in this case disease) of the life support systems. We need to stop looking for scapegoats and look at our own lifestyles.
@ToolGuy I agree and do understand that what you hear is not always what you get. Yes, we are too quick on the draw with our finger pointing.
Warren is a left wing extremist whose policies if carried out would wreck the economy of the US and likely cause massive starvation and civil war.
No, actually...she's a brilliant economist who understands the benefits of sharing wealth, rather than allowing oligarchs (and their obvious FANS here) to control 97% of our income.
@StarvingArtist Converting all electric power plants to 100% green energy by 2035. That would be quite disastrous. Especially if we do away with nuclear power at the same time which is what she wants to do.
@StarvingArtist Solar and wind energy require a huge government subsidy to even be able to compete with oil and gas. Not to mention wind and solar have a fossil fuel backup for when the suns not shining and the wind is not blowing. Also keep in mind that oil and gas is the number one employer here in Oklahoma. Nothing wrong with being green but it’s going to take some time to get there. We definitely can’t do it by 2035 or even 2050.
@ToolGuy, @StarvingArtist We don’t have the capability to get to 100% renewable by 2050 as it’s to expensive.
@StarvingArtist Fossil fuels aren’t subsidized any near as much as renewable energy. The battery backup for the renewable is especially very expensive. What’s wrong with backing up renewables with clean burning natural gas.
@StarvingArtist Unless you can afford to pay several times more for your electricity it’s going to be around for awhile. Why not address the number one problem, too many people. And we can start by securing the border.
@LucyLoohoo Lucy,I was gone for the day but thought about the upcoming FFRF convention. It is strange it is in mid-Oct. this year as it is usually early Sept. The weather is starting to get cold during Oct. I have been to 7 conventions and while they are fun and rewarding I am getting a little burnt out. I want to go to the San Antonio convention as my JW sister lives there and maybe I could have some added fun. Are you going to this convention?
@JackPedigo Sending you a message....
