The stupid leading the stupid = a bunch of stupid.

That kind of "free speech" shouldn't be allowed.

Frightening how deep the hole is.

2

How much money is he pulling in. It's always about money.

THAT is EXACTLY what I am talking about. The author of that diatribe and his wife have 8 kids. I cannot think of anyone else I know with 8 kids. The stupid people are multiplying faster than the smart people.

I am praying for a huge asteroid to impact and wipe us slick as a planet. We need a bottleneck... And it needs to start in Illinois!

The part of my brain that tolerates stupid stuff is full and will remain closed until some of that has worked its way into the sptic tank. Thanks for posting. I will read it another time.

One simply cannot contemplate rational negotiation to solve problems with such assholes. Indeed, their hatred of all things non-religious forces them to be obstacles to all possible solutions. It isn't just conservatism, it is Luddite. The degeneration of the GOP into DT Know-nothingism puts the US, not just into Constitutional Crisis, but the negation of the idea of Democracy. It's not a good direction.

Really, it's a race between the decaying environment and the impulse to press the button.

Me either

There is strong selective application of the teachings in the Bible. One thing that is a hallmark of the Christian religion in this country is that God will provide. Invariably, the answer to all problems is God will take care of the problem, every problem if “we” trust him and believe in Christ.

And, when it comes to the earth and our environment, Evangelicals see the bounty of the earth and feel it’s theirs to use that bounty, much as described in the link, to provide for God’s people. And, any problems that arise will be fixed by God. Says so right in the link.

Not only that, they think God will fix the problem of pollution apparently. It’s says so in the link. Instead, the writer and evangelicals seem to think God will fix all of it and all they need to do is sit and wait.

They forget that one of the key points in the Bible is that God will help those who help themselves. They forget that the earth, according to the Bible, belongs to God and that Christians are the stewards of the earth. They forget that stewardship means taking good care of that which is assigned to their care, as in not polluting earth to the point of killing it.

They don’t even listen to what the Bible tells them yet they expect us to obey them.

Yes, yes, and Yes!!!

Their ignorance of Christianity is because their fundamentalist attitude sees the Bible as literally true, not a largely allegory text, which was written with an uneducated audience in mind.

The basis of Christianity is the New Testament, not the Old Testament, and these fundamentalist groups are too uneducated to understand that their idea of Christianity is to follow historical Judaism.

If they wish to continue to follow their ideology, they need to be honest and admit that they are Jews, not Christians, because their beliefs are firmly based on the Old testament, not the New testament that is the basis of Christ's teachings.

It is this same ignorance that sees them quoting Leviticus, out of context, in order to persecute gays, when this book of the Bible is actually the law prescribed for the priestly caste of the tribe of Levi to follow, it wasn't intended to apply to everyone.

Throughout history, the Bible has been deliberately misinterpreted, so that bigots could persecute those that they vehemently hated, and to control the masses.

True Christianity was made extinct by calling it heresy, when it is the 'traditionally accepted idea of Christianity that is the true heresy.

"I hate Illinois Nazis."

Yes, the left uses fear and science but the right (wrong) use fear and fairy tales. Again, it's about control and power and catering to people that are unable to think. This sort of rhetoric only leads to more polarization and will lead to violence.

3

Okay, so that almost made my head explode!

Mine too!

2

Neither can I.

2

They're so f*ing ignorant, these monolithic brick walls walking around handing out bible tracts and poo pooing real danger in favor of fairy tales and for what? To get to heaven and have an eternal orgasm? JFC, snap out of it already

1

Will not open but I think from your wowzer maybe I do not want to see more crazy 🙂.
