a great human being & a great writer.
i wonder how many americans have read slaughter-house 5?
his novel based on his experiences while a WW2 POW could shed some light on why so many died in concentration camps.
in the last months of the war the allies, mostly americans, bombed the trains that were trying to deliver supplies to those camps.

Vonnegut was not only a great writer but a good person. He had his own demons, but held on, fought depression and helped others. After his sister committed suicide (their mom had done so also), he adopted her kids.

All except the richest country. Look to Middle East for that.

The pernicious American Dream is the most damaging problem.

Check out Billy Pilgrim’s dual Jesus problem in Slaughter House. America at its most schizophrenic!
